Adventuring on My Own at Seabridge Marina

I am use to Andy going on adventures with me, so when he had to go to work on Saturday I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. To be honest I wanted to wait for Andy and go on an adventure on Sunday, however it’s Super Bowl Sunday and Andy is a big  NFL football fan so I knew that was not going to happen. I drove around Oxnard and was not sure where I should or what to do. I stumbled across Seabridge Marina and to be honest I had not been here for a while. This place has completely changed, it was beautiful and peaceful. It was a great place to just spend time by myself.

Location: 1601 S. Victoria Ave. Oxnard, CA 93035

Seabridge is a beautiful place there is plenty of places to eat, go grocery shopping, coffee shops and plenty of other stores. Andy and I have gone to go eat at Yolanda’s which is literally right next to the Marina. We love going there since the patio is covered, however you still get to see that beautiful view. Yolanda is a Mexican restaurant and plenty of people go to have dinner and enjoy some drinks.

There were plenty of flowers that were beginning to bloom around the area. The colors of the flowers were bright and to be honest it looked beautiful next to the Marina. I noticed there was a lot of benches to enjoy while walking around. I sat down and noticed I was enjoying my alone time. It is not something I am use to since I am always running errands with someone. Sometimes we just need some piece and quiet in our life so we can think about life.

One of the things that I loved looking at were the boats around this place. The boat docks are very close to the walkways and you are able to see many of the boats. There were some boat owners inside their boats and I was able to see inside from the where I was standing and the boat looked beautiful from the inside.

I then decided to start walking since it was such a lovely day. Walking around the Marina made me feel very calm and it just placed me in a good mood. There are plenty of people running and walking around. I had a great time seeing the stores, flowers, marina, boats and the beautiful scenery around the area. While walking around I saw someone playing with their remote control boat which caught the eye of many people. Walking around was great and really boosted my energy once I was done.

The importance of spending time alone is very important. At times we just need to get away from everything and/or everyone and just have time to think about things. While being alone I felt relaxed and just enjoyed the peace and quiet. Also, I was able to think about things and think about our next adventure and about the blog. It was clearing my head and helping me understand what we could do with our blog. It was helping me understand where I am and where I want to be, that’s where I clearly understood where I am now is not where I want to be in 6 months. It was great to spend time alone and just be able to think about life and how goals need to be reached.

Seabridge Marina was beautiful and there is plenty of things to do to keep you entertained. Watching a sunrise or sunset must be amazing in this location. This wasn’t the biggest adventure, however it was an adventure for me trying to figure out life and walking around this new place. Keep in mind an adventure doesn’t mean going out and doing the impossible, it can be as easy as just going out with someone or by yourself and having fun and making a memory. These days we are so caught up with work, bills, cleaning the house or other things that we forget to take time and enjoy ourselves. We live in a time where we are always rushing thought life. To be honest there have been times I have caught Andy and I rushing through an adventure, we have been learning to slow down and take our time with things. We encourage you to go out and just enjoy yourself and make some memories in life. We’ll see you in our next adventure, until next time.

Do you make alone time? If so, what do you do?
